The teenager years are difficult for all of us... and this is especially true when we want to buy gifts for a special teenager in our lives. Teenagers span vastly in both age and preferences though, so it can sometimes seem almost impossible to come up with great gift ideas for them. We all know teenagers - even teenage girls - love stuff like cell phones, music CDs and computer games. But there are other kinds of gifts can you give them that might be a little more unique, and treasured for a longer time. 1. Collectible Dolls - Most teenage girls are too old for dolls to play with these days, and moms, aunts and grandmas world wide miss the days of just buying dolls and doll accessories for their gifts. You can still buy dolls though... just one's made for more grown up girls. Porcelain dolls are a great example for instance, and handmade dolls are treasured gifts too. You can even buy craft doll bodies and crochet or sew special outfits for them. This makes the gift hand made, a keepsake, and something they can display in their room too. 2. Jewelry Armoires - These are such elegant gifts that it's surprising they're not given to teenage girls more often. Many teenagers love the beauty and sophistication of having 'old fashioned' things, and a jewelry armoire fits right in. It's useful because they have plenty of space to store their rings, necklaces, bracelets and other what nots. It's also beautiful and elegant, so they feel special having it. And last but not least, it gives them another 'personal' hiding spot for special treasures... much like a diary but with more space! 3. Silver Brush and Mirror Set - These are also a bit 'old fashioned' but they make girls of all ages feel extra special when they're given one as a gift. You can buy just a simple silver backed or silver coated hand mirror that's designed to look like the fancy ones of years gone by - or you can buy an entire set with a mirrored tray, brush, comb and hand mirror.
